TNT in English
This page describes the Finnish TNT qualification in English. It is intended for international employers, clients and partners who want to understand what the qualification represents.
TNT is a Finnish professional qualification for experts in financial planning and business advisory. It shows that the holder has in-depth expertise in financial planning, financial control and advising businesses, and that they keep this knowledge up to date throughout their career.
The qualification is awarded and supervised by Tili-instituuttisäätiö (Finnish Accounting Institute Foundation, unofficial translation), a Finnish foundation that organises the TNT qualification and maintains the register of TNT-qualified professionals.
Who can qualify
Candidates must hold a degree or the KLT qualification and have at least three years of experience in financial planning and business advisory. The qualification has three parts, each assessed separately: a report on work samples, a written assignment and the TNT exam. The qualification is currently completed in Finnish.

A qualification that is kept current
TNT is not a one-off achievement. To keep the qualification valid, TNT experts report their work and professional training to Tili-instituuttisäätiö every three years. In each three-year period they must complete at least eight days of professional training, six of them in the core TNT areas listed above. They must also work with a sufficiently wide and varied range of financial planning and business advisory tasks. If a TNT expert does not report as required, the qualification can be withdrawn.

When you work with a TNT expert, you work with a professional who has in-depth expertise in financial planning and business advisory, has proven this in a demanding multi-part qualification, and keeps their expertise up to date.
